(Ok so this post is about 6 months overdue.)
San Francisco, I love thee. You’d think having spent some time in NY last summer and living in London and Switzerland, I’d be completely spoilt on the foodie front. Well, SF was a total revelation. Here are my top tips:
Bread: Tartine in the Mission. Best. bread. ever. Reserve a bread in advance, do it. End of.
Vanilla ice cream:
San Francisco has the highest concentration of out-of-this-world vanilla ice cream in the world, honestly. Humphry Slocombe, Bi-rite Creamery and Xanath were all incredible. If you have to prioritise, go to Xanath who have 3 (THREE!) different vanilla flavours.
Japanese Izakaya: Izakaya Kou in Japantown
Greek lunch place (pictured): Souvla
Walk around Hayes Valley, lots of cool places to see!
