cute neighbourhood cafe with excellent “kaffe kar” (AKA iced latte everywhere else in the world…).

make sure you reserve in advance as it’s for hotel guests (mainly). highly recommended – buffet of fresh cooked israeli veg, salads, labneh, home-made breads and not to forget a range of hot things like fried eggs on tahini.

4. best israeli hipster lunch: miznon
this place is becoming somewhat legendary in tel aviv. selection of meats or veg stuffed in pitta with tahini and various other things. don’t ask what it is, just take a bit and enjoy the amazingness. you can also order a whole grilled cauliflower or sweet potato – why not?! as the founder, celebrity chef Shani has described it: “my vision is to take whole cities and translate them into one pita,” – yup, that’s exactly what it tasted like 🙂

5. hang out like a real tel-avivi:
wander down ben tsiyon boulevard, sderot ben gurion or sderot rothschild and have a coffee at the street cafes
6. the best fro-yo: anita
neve tsedek, in the south of tel aviv, is worth a trip in itself. go see the “tachana” (old train station) and head to anita for THE best frozen yoghurt EVER. no kidding.
